About
Bio/Description
Background:
Josh Lederman graduated with honors from Cornell University in 2019 with a degree in Engineering Physics. He is currently a PhD Candidate in the Lightwave Communications Research Lab advised by Professor Paul Prucnal, where he works on the development of photonic systems for signal processing and neural networks, with a particular focus on electronic-photonic integration and coordinated analog-photonic/digital-electronic information processing. He is a recipient of the Princeton President's Fellowship and the National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate (NDSEG) Fellowship.
Research Interests:
- Co-integrated low-latency digital/photonic systems
- Integrated photonic neural networks
- Electro-optic transfer function shaping using optical nonlinearity
