Background:

Siamak Abbaslou is currently a postdoctoral researcher working at Lightwave lab (Prof. Paul Prucnal). He is interested in the design and development of novel photonic integrated devices and systems for optical signal processing, neuromorphic computingand on chip optical interconnect applications. His research lies at the intersection of solid-state electronics and nanophotonics. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineeringfrom Rutgers university in 2017 his research was focused on design and implementation of high density integrated devices for optical interconnects. As a postdoctoral researcher, he is developing electro-optic modulators and designing optical components of the neuromorphic photonic platform.
